Andersen, Maggie

In other words ... “A gateway of learning to see, exploring and thinking are a few of the reasons I apply paint to paper. I have to get these images out of my overactive imagination, and water media is a fun and expressive way to play, exploring techniques and discipline myself. ”

Heath, Mary Jo

I have gained experience with a variety of art media during my time spent teaching art in public schools. Of all the media that I have tried, pastel is the most immediate, the most expressive and the most forgiving. The pastels become an extension of my hand as I try to interpret what I see and how I feel about a subject matter.

Storm, William F.

For me art isn't about drawing, painting, water color, paper or canvas. It's about seeing with new eyes and building on that which is seen. To be in the moment when light and shadow compliment form, when time is lost and paper or canvas has it's own life, those are truly the magic instances of 'seeing' with new eyes.
